As we, "Reel-In" 2023 (pun intended) and kickoff the new year, I want to personally thank each and every one of you for your generous support of our quickly growing, custom fishing rod venture. God has truly blessed us this year. We have been able to make some great new partnerships and a lot of new friends along the way.
One of my favorite things to hear is each and every story that pairs with each custom rod or pre-made rod order. The texts, messages, and social media posts we receive with the various fish are so much fun to see.

Texas Rod Co Rods are now offered in person at Clear Lake Live Bait and tackle off of NASA Rd. 1. Go see Troy for the hookup on both lures, live bait, and now our rods. Troy uses Texas Rod Co rods himself.

Growing up in the Clear Lake and Galveston area, a lot of my time was spent pond hopping for bass and catfish, wade fishing the shorelines of the Texas / Louisiana Coasts for specs and reds with my Dad, and drifting the shell reefs in the Trinity Bay and Galveston Areas for the same. I designed this rod specifically to be a good multi-purpose, utility belt per-say, rod that you could use in any of those situations with a wide variety of baits. I wanted something with enough backbone to be able to handle a top water or corky, sling a flounder in Galveston to the dock, but still the right action to throw a jighead with a Kwiggler or Bass Assassin. This rod embodies that and is backed with a life-time warranty.
NO GIMMICKS, NO SPECIAL NAMES EXPLAINED...
Like every other rod builder, when I started out, I struggled to think of catchy names for my rods to make them more marketable and draw in more customers. As I sat around thinking, I remembered why I started the company in the first place, for the every-day angler. Before I began building rods, I myself has a hard time choosing between the wide variety of brands and exotic names / prices. So with every release in 2023 and going forward, our rods have our brand and specs only, and of course some customizations/personalizations. When you navigate our website you won't see any super infused, magical staff, Excalibur 20,000, or unicorn har infused rods, just high-quality, hand crafted selections of rods based on size, category of fishing, or spinning or casting. Our rods will speak for themselves and will grow over-time as more and more people choose to try them out.
